The Outwell Yosemite Lake is a brand-new tent for the 2022 season and it very much sits in a league of its own. It is not often we see a modern Polycotton tent with Steel Poles and certainly not one with so many features. The Yosemite is Outwell’s top-end poled tent and has every feature that Outwell have to offer. The Yosemite Lake comes in three different sizes, starting at a compact 4 berth which is perfect for small families or couples. The larger 5 & 6 models are better suited to families who wish to have a bit more living space while camping, but like the design and features the tent has to offer. The TC fabric is breathable and perfect for using in the UK and in Europe, as it allows the air to flow through the fabric for a more comfortable environment on a hot day. A steel frame is robust and reliable, with each pole being colour co-ordinated to make it easy to pitch. The poles themselves are pre-shaped to give better interior height and to stop them twisting.

Throughout the tent there three main zones for cooking, living and sleeping. Each zone flows easily into the next and can be positioned to your desired setup. Large tinted PVC windows give plenty of light into the tent and visibility out; below the window are zip up curtains to get privacy when needed and can be adjusted to give as much or as little light as you want. If the tent isn’t big enough an additional front awning can be added onto the tent to make it bigger while retaining a more manageable pack size & weight.

Not only does the tent come with high-vis guylines, but also ‘Storm Ties’ Velcro around the 19mm steel poles to make sure the fabric and poles are tensioned together, while storm straps are provided front and back to increase stability. Outwell have really gone to town on including things like their own HookTrack System to give you the option to have a hanging point for lights or storage pockets throughout the tent. ‘Quick & Quiet’ Access doors are located on the bedroom compartment and the living room door. Premier Bedrooms which are nice and dark and have a Rear Ventilation System built in to increase the airflow and help reduce condensation (this can be covered to keep the bedroom nice and dark if needed).

Overall, the Outwell Yosemite Lake is unique. For the camper who wants a Polycotton tent, but still loves their steel poles and is looking for something that is going to last.
